Description

Chhatrapati Sivaji Terminus Station – Mumbai

The terminus was designed by a British architectural engineer Frederick William Stevens from an initial design by Axel Haig, in an exuberant Italian Gothic style. Its construction began in 1878, in a location south of the old Bori Bunder railway station. Back in architecture school we would study art history, and when studying about Neo-Gothic architecture I came across the CST station in Mumbai. It is worth researching more on this building.
